Home organizing for life's transitions & everyday living

Organizing for what's next.

Life is constantly changing. Whether you're preparing for a move, downsizing, helping aging parents, or simply finding that your home no longer supports the way you live, I help create homes that support what's next.

My Approach

Homes should support the people who live in them.

I believe organizing is most successful when it reflects the way you actually live, not an ideal or a trend. Every home and every stage of life is different, so each project begins by understanding your routines, your priorities, and what matters most to you.

My role is to simplify what feels overwhelming. Together, we'll make thoughtful decisions and create practical solutions that are easy to maintain long after the project is complete.

Some clients prefer to work alongside me through every decision. Others would rather I take the lead. I adapt to what's most helpful, offering guidance and structure without judgment or pressure.

My background as an operations leader shapes how I work: I bring discretion and a thoughtful, methodical process to every project, whether we're organizing a single room or managing something more complex. My goal is always the same: a home that better supports the way you live today and continues to support what's next.

The Process

While every project may be different, my approach is always thoughtful, personalized, and tailored to your goals.

  1. 1

    Connect

Every project starts with a complimentary 30-minute call. We'll talk about what's bringing you to this point and how I can help, whether you're moving through a life transition or simply want your home to better support the way you live. This conversation helps us map out the right next step.

  2. 2

    Consultation

Next, I'll come to your home for a one-hour, in-person consultation. We'll walk through the spaces involved and talk through priorities and timeline. Afterward, I'll send a proposed scope of work, an estimated investment, and recommendations for organizing products, when helpful.

  3. 3

    Implementation

Once we have a plan, it's time to get to work. Depending on the project, we'll either work side by side or I'll take the lead, sorting, editing, and organizing to create spaces that better support the way you live. I'll clean each space as we work and coordinate any organizing products that will improve the function of your home.

  4. 4

    Completion

When we're done, your home will support the life you're living now while being ready for what's next. If your project includes items to donate, I'll prepare them and help match them with local organizations based on your belongings and the community's current needs, so they can find a meaningful next home.

The Experience

Support that's personal, practical, and built on trust.

Whether we're organizing a single room or navigating a significant life transition, you can expect a thoughtful, collaborative experience built around your needs.

Understanding

Every home tells a story, and every project is personal. I've experienced many of these life transitions myself, so I lead with empathy, patience, and respect, meeting you where you are, without judgment or pressure.

Structure

Even the most overwhelming projects become manageable with the right plan. I bring structure to complexity, helping simplify decisions and move projects forward one step at a time.

Trust

Inviting someone into your home requires trust. I build every client relationship with discretion, honesty, and transparency. You'll never encounter commissions, product markups, or recommendations influenced by anything other than what's best for you and your home.

Questions

Everything you need to know before we get started.

Folded table linens sorted into stacks, each labelled with a handwritten note.
How does pricing work?

Every project begins with a complimentary 30-minute phone call. For most projects, the next step is a one-hour in-home consultation ($125), which includes a written proposal and is credited toward your project if we decide to work together.

My organizing rate is $125 per hour with a three-hour minimum, scheduled as consecutive hours. Half-day and full-day sessions are also available.

Pricing is straightforward and includes planning, preparation, and travel time, so there are no additional travel charges or hidden fees. If the scope of your project changes along the way, we'll discuss any adjustments to the plan, timeline, or investment before moving forward, so you always know what to expect.

Organizing products and supplies, when needed, are billed at cost with no product markups or commissions.

Do I need to clean or organize before you arrive?

No. In fact, it's more helpful if you don't. Seeing your home as it functions every day helps me understand what's working well, where you're feeling stuck, and how I can create practical solutions that fit the way you live. There's no need to tidy up beforehand.

Do I need to be present during the organizing sessions?

Not always. Some parts of the process, particularly decluttering and major life transitions, are collaborative and involve personal decisions that are best made together. I'll provide guidance and recommendations, but every decision is yours to make.

Once we've created a plan, we can decide together which parts of the project you'll participate in and which I can complete on your behalf. Every project is tailored to your comfort level, schedule, and goals.

How long does a project take?

Every home and every project is different. Some can be completed in a single session, while others unfold over several visits. After we discuss your goals, I'll recommend an approach and provide an estimate of the time involved. If we decide to adjust the plan along the way, we'll talk through any changes before moving forward.

Can you help my parents downsize if I live in another city?

Absolutely. Many families coordinate these projects from a distance. I serve as your trusted local partner, working closely with your parents while keeping you informed through regular updates, photos, and phone calls. Every important decision remains with your family, while I help keep the project moving forward with care and organization.

Can you help families sort through a loved one's belongings?

Yes. Helping a family sort through a loved one's belongings is deeply personal, and every situation is different. I provide thoughtful guidance and a clear, structured process that helps families navigate difficult decisions with confidence while honoring what matters most. We'll move at a pace that's right for your family, creating a plan that feels manageable from beginning to end.

Can you create a detailed inventory of belongings or collections?

Yes. I create detailed inventories that document what you have, where it's located, and where it goes as items are shared, donated, sold, or moved. When helpful, inventories can include photos, descriptions, and notes, creating a clear, organized record that's valuable for insurance, estate planning, family communication, and future decision-making.

Can you help us decide what to keep, donate, sell, or give to family members?

Yes. This is where I spend much of my time with clients. Together, we'll work through each decision at a pace that feels right for you. I'll provide guidance, ask thoughtful questions, and help keep the process moving, while you remain in control of every decision. When items are leaving the home, I'll organize and document where they're going so everything stays accounted for.

Can you work with movers or other professionals?

Yes. If your project involves movers, estate sale companies, donation organizations, cleaners, contractors, or other service providers, I can help coordinate those efforts so everything works together smoothly. My goal is to make the process feel organized, manageable, and less stressful, giving you one trusted person to help keep everything moving forward.

Is everything kept confidential?

Absolutely. Inviting someone into your home requires trust, and I take that responsibility seriously. Your home, your belongings, your family, and your personal information are always treated with discretion, respect, and complete confidentiality.

Every project starts with a conversation.

Whether you're planning ahead, navigating a major life transition, or simply ready for a home that works better for you, I'd love to learn more about your goals and how I can help.

Let's talk

Start a conversation.

You don't need to have everything figured out before reaching out. Whether you're organizing a single room or navigating a major life transition, every project begins with a conversation. I'll ask a few questions, learn about your goals, and together we'll determine the best path forward.
